Let's show our youth we care
A little love can change a teen's life
Please send a little LOVE to the youth of northern RI this Giving Tuesday!
As many of you know, I am the Executive Director of Riverzedge Arts. So here's the real news:
I'm fundraising for Riverzedge Arts this GivingTuesday (November 29) because I believe that the love we have for our youth can be a revolutionary thing.
If YOU CAN SEND A LITTLE LOVE to Riverzedge Arts, you'll be giving teens in northern RI a place to learn, grow, and learn how to be professional artists—a place where they feel safe, welcome, and nurtured even when they're not at home. And for some of them, that might be the only place where they feel that way.
BECAUSE OF DONORS LIKE YOU, WE EVEN PAY YOUTH to participate in their Arts Education and Training (AET) program, where they work with professional artists to learn all the skills and technologies they need to build their own careers in the arts. And they get the care and support they need to transfer those skills into any other career they might want to pursue.
More than that, if we can send our youth some love this GivingTuesday, we can fill their Youth Supply Center with things like vegetables, Froot Loops, and chicken noodle soup for teens who don't get enough to eat. And our love can give the comfort of simple things like toothbrushes, fresh soap, and deodorant to youth who need them. I know those are things I couldn't do without.
